Some basics of NFT functions
ERC-721 is the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) standard used for creating NFTs, like unique digital collectibles and artworks.
80kart.studio NFT artworks are created or “minted” by A.D.Kelley, as do other designers / Artists, and made available for purchase on several blockchain market places. One of the most popular is “OpenSea” based on a public decentralized blockchain standards that utilizes ERC-721.
OpenSea primarily uses Ethereum (ETH) or “Ether” cryptocurrency and its wrapped version, Wrapped ETH (WETH). “Ether” is the native cryptocurrency of Ethereum.
The appeal of public blockchains, like Ethereum, is that all of the NFT transaction history (or provenance), including the current and past owner accounts, pricing, fees and Ether cryptocurrency values are permanently and securely recored in the distributed NFT blockchain and transparent (visible) to anyone on OpenSea / Ethereum.
In order to have an OpenSea account you must have a “Cyber Wallet”. Again, one of the most popular cyber wallets is called “MetaMask” which is compliant with the public Ethereum standard.
To purchase unique 80kart.studio NFT artworks on OpenSea you must first have a Cyber Wallet (like MetaMask) with Ether cryptocurrency “funds” available to create an OpenSea account and then to purchase NFT’s. Be aware that there are fees associated with purchasing and selling or trading NFTs (link).
Once you have your MetaMask wallet and OpenSea account you can then access, view, purchase, sell and trade NFT “Art” assets. It is critical that you keep your crypto wallet, user account credentials, seed phrase (also known as a recovery phrase or secret recovery phrase) secure. If you lose or forget them there is no way to recover them or your NFT assets.
